Oranges 'n' Lemons rose

Oh, man. I wish I could grow vandas (too hot & dry in SoCal--would take a lot of fussing). Did you grow that plant, Annie Deighnaugh? Really nice.

caflowerluver, that is a really charming rose! I normally don't go for such wild colors, but the cluster of flowers is such an interesting study of the variance between individual blooms. Or maybe I'm just getting bolder as I age.

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Boise, Idaho in 2012. While there we visited a rose garden. After walking the entire garden, and admiring many, we each named our favorite. I thought it was odd that out of all of the choices, we both chose the same rose.

Gyr-falcon - Thank you. As I have gotten older I have gotten bolder and go for the striped and unusual roses. O 'n' L is one of my favorites because each bloom is different.

No, didn't grow the vandas...they were from the orchid extravaganza at Longwood Gardens.

I checked out some of the photos on Longwood Gardens' site. It looks like a pretty place to visit and see plants and specialty gardens.

I do recommend going...there and to Winterthur which is just down the road from there. Both spectacular places to visit.
