Comments (11)Hi Valentina, My sangs were grown from seed and are so different from my other brugs...they don't look at all alike and the sangs can't take much direct sun, whereas I grow the other brugs in full sun with no wilting. Part of my interest in the sangs is the hope of getting quite a bit of red in the blossoms. I'm craving darker pink-to-red colors, but so far have only white/pinky-peach/yellow/orange. I sure wouldn't give up my Dr. Seuss though...the fragrance alone justifies that one! I do think growing something from seed gives you more of an attachment than you have to a purchased/traded plant. I have 3 other brugs that I started last spring from seeds and I watch them closely for signs of a "Y". I'll probably have to wait until next year. The anticipation of see how they turn out is fun. Comments (17)And, as Shauna said, we don't have to limit our pictures to the gallery. Lots of times, we need to post some here to illustrate something - the nice curvey raised bed posted here today, for instance. Last year we started weekly picture threads and they got pretty picture-full! :) So hence the suggestion to keep these in the gallery. Had to laugh last year when we got these new areas. "Conversations" is supposed to be for non-gardening topics, but we all had one question - "IS there any topic other than gardening??" LOL...See MoreIvamae's Blueberry muffins!!! OMG/??too
Comments (32)I (and my family) have to say it again. These are the best muffins we have ever had. And that includes some "high end" gourmet ones that is sold here! I have made 4 batches in one week, and none lasted long enough to get completely cold. I have no problem with the topping, though I do press it into the muffin a bit before baking. I also cut the cinnamon down to a 1/2 teaspoon. I put paper muffin liners in my muffin pan, so no problem getting them out of the pan, and the fluted liners peel right off. Comments (136)Trust me, Mama, you need that washer NOW not tomorrow. The drum light comes on when you open the door and off after a few seconds or when you turn off the washer. Yes, you have two buttons - one turns on and off the washer and the other one starts the cycle. You can press the cycle start and turn on the washer but you might not be able to open the door if the washer is on. There are some safety features about when you can and can't just open the door so don't jerk on it when you think the laundry is finished, especially if you have the Fan Fresh option on. After all these years, I still forget once in awhile that the washer door lock is engaged while the machine is ON, even if it doesn't seem to be doing anything at the moment, lol. It's smarter than me, thank God. I can see some Herculean guy rip the door off because he thinks it's stuck....See MoreErrant_gw
