Will someone please explain to me

in layman's terms how to post a picture on an email? Once I take a photo with my digital camera, what is the next step and all the ones that follow? Many thanks for helping a true newbie.

1) You have to transfer the photo file to a PC. You should already be doing that anyway to save your photos off the camera. Either by 1)taking out the SD card from the camera and putting it into the PC, where the card appears as another drive from which you can copy the file to a C drive folder, or 2) connecting the camera to wifi (if it is so enabled), or 3) connecting a USB cord to the camera, to do a download to the PC

2) Once the images are visible to the PC, copy (or cut/paste) the photo files to a folder whose name you will remember. I made a C:\Photos folder to make it easy to find.

3. Compose email and make the photo file a file attachment. Or, with some email systems, you can highlight the file in Windows Explorer and then copy/paste into the as an embedded photo.

I'm not sure what "post a picture on an email means". The following is about sending a pic to someone else via email.

Connect your camera to your computer, or if you have a card reader you can remove the camera's memory card and put it in the computer . Depending on which version of Windows you have (you didn't say), it may prompt you on how to import the pics. If it does not, open File Explorer and your camera (or the memory card) should show up as another drive. You should be able to drag/drop the pics from the camera/card to wherever you want to put them on the computer. What email program are you using (you didn't say)? Do you want to ATTACH the pic to the message, or do you want the pic to be included with some text? The steps are different.

On the other hand, if you are talking about posting a message to this forum along with a pic, that is an entirely different matter.

To my knowledge and experience building a home always has, and always will, cost more than buying an existing home. That said, the benefits of building are not to be forgotten: it is new, it is (mostly) what you want, and presumably it is where you want it. The recent housing recession had the effect of eliminating both builders as well as some skilled trades people. Elimination of builders has made it possible for the remaining general contractors to modestly increase margins. The exit of skilled labor from the market has increased pricing in that area as well. Material prices are also rising across the board. Framing lumber has increased about 40 percent over the last 6-8 months. This is unprecedented in the 30 years I have been involved in the business. Almost all the other material and fixture manufacturers are taking the opportunity to raise pricing 5-7 percent as the national market improves. Improved building lots in subdivisions are soon to be a factor in home prices as well. A shortage is looming just around the corner. Financing for land developers to buy land and install the horizontal infrastructure (sewers, water lines, and roads) has been non-existent over the past 4 years. Consequently, almost no new lots were developed during this time. If the housing recovery continues, the cost of quality building lots in the right areas could easily increase 30-40 percent over the next 24 months until new supply comes online. Hi Linda, I don't buy from stubhub but my coworker does, as well as ebay. She usually does that for sporting events since we both get all the emails when the concerts go on sale. I'll ask her if they are preselling. What I have read in my research is that they do in deed presale. Your question did send me on a mission because I didn't have the answer. Van Halen has no website to speak of and Live Nation and Ticket Master only list VIP packages for both our venues. They annouced the dates just recently and under my date of 04/10 it says TBD. Ticket master will list the shows once they have a date that the tickets will be in sale. It appears that they are releasing some VIP packages right now that will ship in April BUT Stub Hub shows specfic seats for each venue. It does not state when you would get you tickets so I clicked through the buy process a bit to see if there was a warning, but nothing obvious. To compare I clicked on NY which I know is on sale, and the stubhub website site shows as bold as can be "Electronic Delivery Available Immediately". Based on this, I still think I am right and they are not on sale yet. If you set up an account with ticketmaster, I bet you can score $49 seats when they are released. I'll check with my friend on Tues and I will let you know when they go on sale in FL.

You want them side by side or on top of each other? I use Digital Image Suite - but sometimes the steps are very similar. To do pictures side by side - I create a blank canvas. I have the pictures open, then drag them onto the canvas, side by side. I can adjust size and postition.

Oh, if you have the photo on your PC then below here where we type our message you will see Photo, click on it menu opens find your photo, click on it and then click open and it will attach, click submit when you see your photo, be sure to resize if it's too big.
