I don't know the area you are in. But here in south Fla. I am now trying to grow the Snail vine,for the blooms,but it has tiny leaves...so far. BUT my best luck has always been passion vines. But the BIG ones. The 'Ruby Glo' or 'Alata' variety. I get that one to grow to over 100 feet long. BUT now that I am trying to FIND a big plant of it again. I cant find it. All I can get are seeds,but I finally got a 2 foot long rooted cutting off of EBay,and it was only like $6.00! My old vine I had, I cut back to hard or something and it died. The Alata has huge leaves and giant red flowers all over it! But the plain passion vine grows great in the heat and blooms a lot. I also grow the Sky Vine and it is covered in flowers right now and trying to keep it in check is getting hard to do. I am surprised at how good it is doing in the heat! I keep cutting it back and it keeps growing and blooming. So if you like a FAST growing vine, like I do, the Sky vine is good,and passion vines are great as well.

I use the process in the article referenced by " pretty_saab"with a slight variation/s. I dome the, vinyl ad-mix, concrete at the posts to prevent the affect of ponding which van occur from soil subsidence, wash the posts with vinegar, prime, using a string line mount the brackets. The field posts are sleeved/enclosed with 1x and 2x for posts where gates are installed. There are any number of capitols available for the post tops, or you can fashion your own.

I can't see anything in your link which mentions Creeping Fig. It is a gaming website and nothing to do with real plants or real spiders. The 'wall creeper' is an imaginary creature in the game 'Terraria' and is referred to as a 'spider-like enemy', not an enemy of spiders. But since it is totally fantasy the wording is irrelevant anyway. In real life spiders will enjoy any plant which provides cover and I don't think there are any plant species which would repel them, or indeed encourage them, any more than any others. Bear in mind that spiders are good guys in the garden.

The easiest way to find something appropriate would be to visit a local nursery that sells vines, shrubs, perennials etc. and ask their advice. NOT a big box store like Lowe’s or Home Depot. A real nursery with knowledgeable staff.
