IKEA cabinets with custom doors?
Comments (12)Sorry it's taken so long to get back to this, but thanks so much for your feedback and remodelfla for the photos. Very pretty kitchen. I love the QS oak. I spent another day at IKEA just scoping things out and taking a closer look at the cabinets and how they arranged the kitchens. Great ideas for storage and maximizing space. I loved the Rubrik (stainless steel) island I saw, but how would that be in my country kitchen with stained perimeter cabs?? Very unique I'd say! I also checked out the Scherr's website. Nice stuff there too. This is all very tempting, plus I really like the way they maximize space. I thought it was so cool that a 30" drawer could hold plates, saucers, bowls, glasses, and 3 containers for forks, spoons, and knives. How clever to put everything you would need to set the table in ONE drawer. Great ideas if nothing else. Also, the drawer inserts were ingenious. Sooo, I bought a 30" base with drawers to "test" out in my yucky current kitchen. I'll order the drawer fronts from Scherr's and I'll just see how it goes. I'm excited! Thanks again for the feedback! : )...See Morehalf Ikea with custom doors and fronts?

Comments (15)I have looked at several options, not at thrilled with any of them. Semihandmade does not offer a lot of choices and the quality is surprisingly poor in my opinion, also bad customer service reviews. Kokeena looks beautiful but seemed very $$$ did not even request samples I mean what's the point? Architectural Digest I am not. Scherr's found website confusing and disorganized, not sure I ever found the doors online and did not really want to! Then somehow I happened upon The Cabinet Face and was, like, FINALLY!!!!!! I am still in the planning phase but if this company is at good as it looks, I will definitely work them. They seem to have several options, but not too many, including wood veneers and glass doors. And best of all (gasp) their pricing structure is refreshingly transparent. This was a welcomed first. It really helps to know when making these decisions roughly what painting versus MDF etc costs; there's even a cost comparison estimate with all styles compared to Ringhult. Again, just enough enough information. I don't want to buy from a company that isn't transparent. What's the point? It should be the quality of one's experience that brings customers back....See MoreIkea Sektion Cabinets - custom drawer heights
Comments (4)Not sure you have to adjust the holes. Just said you have that option if needed. You have to lay it out and test. I would get a few of the really inexpensive Haggeby fronts taller than you need and cut them to the size you want for a test mock up before I did anything. The bottom drawer will not change but you screw the front connector in different hole locations on any Ikea drawer....See Morebeachem
