Watering small gardens at each side of driveway, bubblers?

Comments (3)One of my favorite shirts is one that I found at a thrift store. It was new, but someone had splashed bleach on it in a few areas. The spots were about dime to quarter size. I dug out my fabric scraps, found some with flowers, cut the flowers out, fabric-glued them on the bleach spots and on an area that wasn't damaged on the back of the shirt. Then I satin-stitched around the edges of the flowers. The flowers have several colors so they go with any colored pants I'm wearing and it looks like the shirt was made with them....See MorePlant Suggestions for small patio side garden
Comments (3)Background: I live with my grandparents. Both with long health problems. My grandmother (80) was confined to a medical bed which we placed in the Family room for easy access and a view out the sliding door as in the first photo below. They did most of the work that exists in the photos below. When she was confined to bed I started putting out humming bird feeders, then bird feeders, and then working on plants that she could view from her bed. She passed 2 wks ago but I want to continue the work as a memorial. So the goals are to have a good view outside the sliding door with flowers and wildlife. And of course to make it look good from outside the house. The other bushes further along the side of the house toward the carport will likely be replaced at some time. On the back corner where the pole with bird feeder is will be refined and probably put some form of climbing rose vine to separate it from the back section while still providing continuity with the two Knock Out Roses in the back on either side of the walk which she absolutely adored; they were her favorite bushes. The size of the area I'm looking at now, which extends from the back wall of the house to the end of the wall out back is ~ 15' long and a little over 4' deep....See MoreNeed Help/Suggestions for Redesigning Front Garden
Comments (7)Wow, I had no idea there was a front door back there. In addition to the excellent visuals from Yardvaark, I suggest doing some research on what's invasive in your area as you have several listed on your "want" list. I find azaleas to be pretty boring one-hit-wonders. At least find some flowering shrubs that may offer interesting shapes in the "dead" flowering spikes (in my own garden I find Clethra's flower spikes to still be interesting through the winter). Add some grasses, varied shape shrubs and ones that will change color in the autumn. You can look for ones that feature interesting branches or bark which can be shown to good effect against the snow. I think you have a lot of plants for the size bed shown. But maybe the image is deceiving....See MoreNHBabs z4b-5a NH
