Salvia greggii at Home Depot
Comments (5)I bought one from Home Depot yesterday. It says it is a salvia greggi with another name: salvia de otono (spelling?). Is anyone familiar with this varitey? It is in a one gallon pot with 2 plants in it. One of them has red flowers and the other one has white but the structures and the leaves on the two plants look alike. Is that normal? By the way, it has a little fragrance....See MoreBruce 3/4' Maple $2.99 from Home Depot Anyone Use

Comments (3)Its more of a trait with the native types which produce more seeds. I don't find it a problem, they pull out quite easily and its mostly a spring event, definitely not invasive. I find uses for the seedlings in difficult areas and consider them free plants. I've lined the whole west no-mans land side with them because they will grow well in that awful dirt two feet in on the neighbors side along his neglected property line which I try to maintain so I don't have to look at weeds and tree saplings. They crossbreed very easily so you never know what you will get and you can easily have a naturally occurring hybrid spring up in your own garden. I got a white blooming plant a couple years ago from a chance seedling, I thought that was cool....See MoreHome DepotHome Depot custom built in custom built in closet
Comments (5)" I need to go through there Home Depot rep who knows nothing " " There are no displays in any of the stores within a 50 mile radius and it’s a significant amount of money to spend without seeing the actual product. " That would be more than sufficient red flags for me to not consider them. That plus the fact that I know of many horror stories of them not getting simple window and door orders correct. I shop at HD usually under duress and will only buy what I can grab from the shelf. The rep selling closet systems today was running the Zamboni last week and will be in electrical next week, so that needs to be remembered as well....See Moreladyrose65
