blue and yellow bird in CT

I just had a brief sighting of a bird in the birdbath that I haven't seen before. First impression was of a blue body, or possibly leaning toward grayish, a yellow breast, smaller than a Robin, larger than a sparrow. Yellow not as bright as a Goldfinch.

Sorry I don't have more info, he wasn't there long enough to study him. At first I thought it was a Robin, but the breast was definitely yellow, not rust colored.
