Help fixing a photo

Happy Mother's Day to all. I have this photo of my Mom & I that I love. The only thing is I am frowning in it. Anybody know how to edit a photo and change it to a smile. My computer is down at the moment and only have my cell. Will try posting the picture.

I don't know why you would want to change this. I think it is a great pic. Sometimes a great pic doesn't have only smiles. Sorry I can't help you though on the editing. I have no idea how one would do that.

Oh my goodness, how silly! Any editing to make a frown into a smile is going to look cartoonish and fake and just creepy!

I am NOT a carpet expert but my belief is that to do this properly, one side of the carpet would have to be pulled up. The carpet would be trimmed straight on each side, a piece would be cut to add between the two rooms, heat seamed to both sides then the carpet laid back down, stretched and resecured to the tack strip. As to what to pay, it depends on what the person with the skill, tools and inclination to do a small difficult job of this nature chooses to charge. It's hard to say except maybe to compare what he/she might make doing an easier job elsewhere. $200.00? $300.00?

I have a Jenn-Air slide-in also, and mine is in an island as well. Mine is at least as old as yours, maybe more like 12 years old. I would fix it if mine had your problem, much cheaper than buying a new range. I think I paid $1300 for it originally, so I know they are not cheap. Better to save money and go for the repair, IMO. Listen to Casey, she's a professional photographer. It would look creepy and so unnatural. Yours is perfectly fine, it's how the little girl felt at the time. I've got a school picture where I'm laughing out loud instead of just smiling. The photographer said something quite funny. It looks dumb, but that's the way it was.

I have a lovely picture of three children sitting on a wall - the one in the middle is me with the biggest pout on my face - the other two have big smiles. It's a great picture and so is yours.

Ditto Casey. It would look bizarre. Family photographs are supposed to capture a moment in time, and that's what this one does. I think it's charming. Don't touch it.

I tried using the puppetwarp tool in Adobe Photoshop, but it just wouldn't fix properly. I could give you a bit of a grin, but don't know how to make the eyes look happy too. It is an adorable photo the way it is. :)

Oh, rasmitty, it is a wonderful photograph of you and your Mom. Be happy with it. I have no picture of me and my Mom and so wish I did. Do have a picture of me alone with a great big pout just like you; although I was young I remember why I was frowning, I wanted to play with the kittens and they wanted me to sit for the photograph. Isn't life wonderful!

To properly edit out your frown, your entire face would need to be edited out and replaced. Your eyes aren't happy, your eyebrows are down and your forehead has a "frown wrinkle." The photo is great as it is. Don't try to alter it.

The photo is natural - represents a phase in your life. I'd leave it alone.
