Save my Rabbit foot Fern

jrooey

Bought from nursery greenhouse (translucent outdoor structure).
Transplanted into a larger pot with sand/potting soil mix, also mixed in fox farm fertilizer.
Moved indoors into my living room where there's medium light, western facing window that gets bright afternoon sun. Fern is about 10 feet from the window up against a wall.
Watered very well twice over a 4-5 week, afraid of over watering so being frugal with watering. I mist often and will move the fern into my bathroom for shower time.
Has dropped several leaves so far, including some of the largest ones, and doesn't show any sign of stoping.
Is also shooting up new leaves, but I know new growth can be a bad sign.
I can't tell if it's dropping leaves because it's :
- over watered, rotting right now and I'm not aware of it
- under watered
- burned from over fertilizing
- too little light
- something else, chlorine gas from shower tap water?
Really don't know, it's been about 2-3 months now and I'm concerned because it's still dropping large, healthy looking leaves. If I need to take action before it's too late, now's the time.
Here's some photos, thank you for your time!
