I have several pots of peace lily and in my climate, the plant seems to thrive without any care. I maintain my plants by picking off the outer-most leaves, which if I don't would "droop horizontally". You said that "some leaves are horizontal"... so I suppose these are the outer-most leaves. If that is the case, I'd take them off so the whole plant doesn't look "drooping". Here's a photo of my peace lily. Xuan (from Vietnam)

I have a PL that is huge, I got it from my grandmas funneral 4 years ago. It has been doing well and growing and producing flowers. Heres what I do. . . It is in a 10" pot (big I know but ths plant is huge)with drainage holes. I repotted it using Miracle Grow potting soil. It sits in front of a west facing window where it gets lots of sun and full direct sun for about 4 hours a day. When the leaves start droop slightly (not wilt and fall down, just hang less erect) I take it to the bathtub and water it w/ a 3 gallon bucket, let that completely drain and repeat 2 more times. I let it completely drain before setting back in front of the window. How often I water depends on the time of year, sometimes I water it every week (summer) and in the winter I water it approx. every 10-15 days. I let the plant tell me when it needs a drink. I NEVER let the leaves wilt, there is a fine line between drooping slightly and wilting, as in a few hours. For instance, I noticed one night at bedtime that it needed water and was going to water it the next day. The next morning it had wilted, but after a good drink it perked right back up. This is very damaging to the plant, so I don't let it happen if I can help it. I feed w/miracle grow but not very often. It blooms three - four times a year for me. Hope this helps.

Something I wrote/ saved, for reference: Leaves - Reading When leaf tips or margins abnormally curl/cup upward, it's usually an indication the plant is trying to retain moisture – most common causes are dry soils or high temps; or, if you are using supplemental lighting, the lights might be too close. When leaf margins curl down, especially if leaves droop abnormally from the base of the leaf to the leaf tip, there is probably an issue affecting root function or health. The main causal suspects would be over-watering or soil compaction causing an inadequate supply of oxygen to roots, a root infection, or a TDS (fertility) level too high, which can limit water uptake. Leaves that terminate in a downward hanging drip tip are a normal part of the plant's morphology; however, if the tip of the new leaves is markedly hooked: and accompanied by other leaf deformities, it could be early signs of a culturally deficiency of calcium, which is very commonly caused by over-watering, and can occur even when there is an adequate supply of Ca in the grow medium. Mali, these plants are pretty much durable. One can grow them to look like they are barely hanging on. You can grow them to have many mishap-pend leaves. Or could could grow them flawless and in bloom. If you prefer the later, the best thing you could do for your plant is to use a very good porous mix in a container with holes simply put. If you are going to use the mix you are now which is very dense, I would not use much fertilizer without flushing your mix out at least once a month. I would never water in sips. I would not use tap water unless you are going to flush the mix once a month. And I would do frequent re pots at least every year to keep the mix from collapsing around the roots only to suffocate them. Looks like all this is happening to your plants as we speak. Remember, the more dense your mix is and the finer the particles in it, the greater chance of the roots suffering from a lack of good oxygen at every watering, salt deposits from tap and fertilizers. I will only use rain water on mine preventing leaf damage.
