I had a strange odor in my bathroom, searched and searched for the source. Couldn't figure it out. Then I noticed that the hand sanitizer was outdated and threw it out. I smelled it first but didn't smell anything bad. It was in the plastic pump bottle that it was purchased in. Is there a possibility that when it gets old it reacts with the plastic in some way to cause this? Ever since I threw it out I don't have that odd odor in there anymore.
