Well that lateral graft pictured above some 8 years ago is still in the pot but much longer & larger as l moved it into shade & fed & watered it. . .in fact it snakes across a shade roof over Asimina triloba seedlings & down the other side. It's difficult to get multiple terminal shoots on older Araucarias as when topped one new sprout invariably dominates. Large terminals are hard to graft due to their size so it's best to maintain a stock of small mother plants from which scions can be harvested every year or two.
