Comments (10)I got my Castilleja from a nursery. It came with the host grass. The plant never took off and it faded away. Like I said. Tricky plants to grow. Back years ago,when I tried growing it: I wasn't as concerned about simulating the native environmental coditions the plants grew in; but I suspect that, even in ideal conditions,they would still be a challenge. There has been a lot of switching around with the family status of some of these genera. Wow, like snapdragons are now in the broomrape family ?
