Amazing race...??? I didn't see a thread...
Comments (7)Remember....the contestants speak to their team mate in front of the camera a lot more than to the other teams. What we see and what really happens can be scued. I think this is a really hard game to play.....in another country...another language....it's for our entertainment. I like watching. I'm just not that into "macho" men wanting to put that couple in their place and quote "bring them down a notch". The detectives said that....!!! :0) It's all in good fun....like watching a soap opera play out......See MoreI didn't get to go see Jeff Lewis' Kitchen of the Year, but ....
Comments (6)yep, used soap. I wish that there were digital cameras around 25 years ago....boy would you love to see the photos. There was a clown statue with his pants area that stuck out--possibly a planter or utensil holder, a metal round tray with indentations that had the flowers of PA in them, (my dh thought maybe it was a tray to hold 6 Budweiser cans), a used sponge, His & Hers mugs (you know the ones with the antique cars on them), a chip & dip bowl (the dip bowl that clipped to the edge of the chip bowl). My Dad, who was very sick (passed away about 5 weeks later) was so mad--these were good friends of his. He was sure it was a joke when we told him about it, he thought that there must have been a check or something...but no. We took lots of photos of my dh putting the peach basket out at the curb for the trash, the clown hanging out the top. Well, it was certainly the most memorable gift I got that day!...See MoreI didn't know what I didn't know! Need your guidance!
Comments (5)@nucleartumbleweed... Congrats on the new Electrolux's (I have the older 70 WaveTouch series) you should enjoy your machines very much. What I do when I'm done using mine is wipe down the door glass, boot (the rubber seal between the door and the drum), take out the detergent drawer and shake it dry. Leave the door open and the detergent drawer open or leave it out (on top of the machine) to dry out until next use or for 24/48 hours. Use hot for your whites and you can do a Sanitize wash every once in a while to help kill bacteria not only in your clothes but in the machine also (use Sanitary for whites). Warm is now the new Cold. Temps in today efficient machines have been turned (dumbed) down. Warm is now in the 70-80 degree range (not in the 90/100's like they used to be). Use cold infrequently for dark specialty items that are super delicate...but most of today's colorfast times can withstand warm. Do the Clean Cycle when the machine promps you (Electrolux is every 50 washes), with a cup of bleach. Remember scented bleach or splashless bleach is not a disinfectant. Only traditional good old bleach is labeled to kill 99.9% of household germs. You can use "pods" but DO NOT put them in the detergent drawer. They go directly into the drum with the clothes. The same with scent beads, pods or scent crystals. Most of us separate our whites from our colors. If you want dazzling whites, wash them together with no color items. You don't need all the stuff we post here in pictures or talk about. We just get carried away here and simply must have our stash of new and improved or just discussed items. Ask if have more questions, there are a bunch of great people here that would be happy to assist you....See MoreI didn't see an intro thread
