24' & 18' appliances--brands & price
Comments (3)1. Refrigerator, 24" * Liebherr, $2500 * Blomberg, $1300 * Summit, GE, LG , & Fagor do not make ones that are panel-ready I guess you mean those small ones that go behind panels in cabinetry. I saw the Blomberg and the Liebherr. I researched both. I would get two Blombergs. Or, since you are not panelling the dishwasher, you might also not panel the fridge, and get the GE or the LG. 2. Dishwasher, 18" These three are all good, as far as I know. 3.+4. Instead of a Warming drawer, and Speed oven (convection & MW combo), 24" + 24" consider a couple other options. Breville Smart Oven a second 24" oven * Fagor (side-opening door) * AEG available in Canada (see below) 24" ovens on http://www.aeg-electrolux.ca/ * AEG Compact multifunction oven with fully integrated steam functions (KB 9820 E-M Steam Oven) * AEG integrated microwave * AEG Convection (B3011-5-M Built-In Oven) * AEG-Electrolux fit 24" cabinets (do not require a wider cabinet). You can see them on UK web sites and on one Canadian site. You can order it from Canada (from http://www.theeuropeanappliancestore.ca or euro-parts or euroline or one of those companies that are all in that area.) * Ikea has a built-in microwave too * (?) Gaggenau (?) I didn't research this one much but I think it's got more than any of the others....See MoreIf you have a 24 inch Miele oven ---
Comments (10)Sayde, Just a note. I'm looking at the Speed Oven as well. My original plan called for the 30" Masterchef double ovens and I've just found out that it won't work because of space. Fortunately, I had gone to Miele on a recent trip to Los Angeles and saw the speed oven up close. I had brought my usual half sheet pans (13 x 18 standard aluminum pans) to see how they would fit in the larger oven. I use those pans all of the time when roasting vegetables, under pies, for breads, etc. When the salesman was telling me about the speed oven I said I'm sure that it's too small to hold my pans. He opened the door and slid them in. It turns out that the lip of the pan fits the glide perfectly. I thought this might help you with the size question. An aside, yesterday when I realized that I had to make changes in my kitchen layout I came to GW to ask questions about the speed oven and there at the top of the page were your posts asking my questions. Thanks! Here is a link that might be useful: Standard half sheet pan...See MoreVery Happy with F&P Range, Liebherr Fridge, Miele DW
Comments (1)Thank you for sharing this information with the rest of us! So often people post here looking for advice on what appliances to get when they are in search of power and efficiency but the footprint is limited. Your post should be especially helpful to all those who are looking to outfit small kitchens --which tends to be more the norm than the exception in places like NYC. (And, yes, I say that 'cause I have a small kitchen in NYC). :-)...See MoreMiele 36'' induction cabinet size
Comments (5)The installation instructions show that the cutout is 19 11/16" front to back and the instructions say: "Remember to maintain a minimum distance of 2 inches between the rear wall and the right or left side." For ventilation it says to leave 4 1/2" open below the cooktop. The part that is confusing to me is it also shows a 32" cutout at the rear wall of the cabinet directly below the cooktop for ventilation. My KD is very experienced and I know she went over the installation instructions of all my appliances very carefully.
