"Can it be that a web site can control/override my setting of spell check in my browser?" I'd noticed spell-check not working on some sites too, but hadn't investigated. As it turns out, they can turn spell-check off, at least in a specific HTML element. Why would a site would want to do that? I don't know, perhaps just to make me feel dumb. You need to add something to get OE6 to spell check. Word would do it you had it but there are free ones around. Here's a link to one: Spell check at major geeks.

I think that is what the problem is, I am typing along, a little box comes up and before I can get rid of the darn thing, all my message/letter/word etc/., is GONE/ I know how to get it back, but would prefer not having to do that to begin with, I think the box is for spell check or sumpin like that, there are several things to check, just so darn aggravating, more and more it comes, and I am getting older by the minute ! Thanks to anyone that can help out here, haven't been here in a while, so many of the good oldtimers are gone too, but being smart doesnt hurt either. Thanks again, hoping for some responses.
