Comments (12)Parma!! So great to see you-- but darn, are you back already???? I hope not!! Well the rug is partially on the floor. (Hiding face in shame). I need some assistance and/or some of those moving disks. I am still nervous about putting the rug down with sick dogs but hell, the rug IS for the floor afterall, no? Only slight progress with the chairs.. well it isnt really progress but the field has been reduced by one option. One of the chairs I was looking at has been discontinued (sound familiar). I am leaning towards the chairs that I think you liked.. they are from hickory white and slightly french and more rustic/simple in style. (it is the drexel heritage chair that is discontinued) I am looking for someone who has it in their showroom though as I want to sit in it. I also still like the mandarin club chairs from gumps but I dont really want to add more leather or more dark color. The pillow sounds lovely-- velvet is my weakness. Love the oranges and greens too. The orange in the rug is *very* muted but I do intend to being in small orange accents. Great to see you-- and thanks for your input!...See Morecurtain rod &curtain , does the metal color have to match?
Comments (4)My curtain rings are a different bronze from my curtain rods. Not only that, when I decided to add more curtain panels, I could not find the same rings, so the latest rings are another shade of bronze, AND they are also slightly larger than the original. LOL Not only are they not noticeable (at least no one has mentioned it) but I don't notice anymore. Really cannot tell when they are hung high near the ceiling, anyway....See MoreMade to match area rugs, pillows, art, curtains
Comments (16)Any big store that sells furnishings will have catalogs that will show interiors full of their decor etc, displaying different options in a pleasing way, and giving you all sorts of clues of what goes with what. Whether it's Ballard Designs, Pottery Barn, CB2, West Elm, Anthropologie..you name it. The main problem with it-you don't want your room to look like a catalog one..:) The companies show their products. Your house should show you..which is much more interesting and complicated. So take clues from the pics, and then hunt stuff, partially, elsewhere. And especially look everywhere for art that touches you deeply. Look at it like a book..since that what art does-it makes us feel and think things, it transports us, it can even change us...would you match a book exactly to your decor? no, right? (tan and grey look great together. lots of beaches are a bit tan, grey, and a lot of seafoam..))...See MoreCurtains and throw pillows to go with new rug
Comments (4)I think you need more substantial curtains to balance the heavy leather sectional. Look for lined panels as they hang better. A light buttercream/pale yellow from the rug might work. Use the same for pillows with the gray from the rug. No navy, it's too dark. These are lined curtains from wayfair (just for reference not color). How many windows are there? For the best look you need 2 panels per window...See Moretinam61
