Australian Finger Lime Tree - very extreme yellowing

User

Hello. I bought a grafted red finger lime tree about 6 months ago, and it arrived in perfect health. About two months ago, I put it into a much larger pot with new soil. Up until a few weeks ago, it had been inside for the winter. I brought it outside into a protected area , and 2 weeks later, into an area with full sun. It was doing fine for a few days. However, in just one day all of the branches, leaves, and needles turned a yellow-brown color, and the tips of the needles became black. It looks very unhealthy, and the leaves have started to fall off. I am not sure whether or not this is normal, or if I should just get a new tree. It might also be worth mentioning that although the soil drains well, the tree doesn't seem to be taking in much water. After 2 weeks of not watering it, the soil just under the soil surface near the base of the tree was still damp. Any advice would be very appreciated!
