Just dig the grubs out and let the tree heal itself. Re: Carbaryl or Malathion, don't use them for this purpose. The old standby for peach borers is Lorsban. Unfortunately it requires an applicator's license. I've seen newsletters also recommending pyrethroids for peach borer control. Not a drench or anything, but simply hitting the trunk when spraying the peaches. There is a good pyrethoid called Triazicide Once and Done that should work for you in this regard. It is available in season at most big box stores. The other thing that some use is moth balls around the base of the tree. Not labeled for this use, but a lot of folks have used them nevertheless and had good results. Painting the trunks w/ white latex may also provide some control.

Nice fish and lilies. I try and try to snap pictures of my fish, but it really is hard when they're always moving. I upload everything to the computer, and then just print off the best ones, but even those aren't great, ;-) I also have a white koi and a black koi. The black one was actually gray with white fins when I bought her, but she turned black and something happened to her fins. She's supposed to be a long-fin, but one fin is standard length and the other is just a tiny little nub sticking out. Genetic defect, probaby. Still, she's the friendliest fish in the pond. I like your longfins.

I keep a tub of killer soap water handy to drop critters into.. It is a mass grave for stinkbugs, harlequins, and leaf footed guys. The leaf footed guys are quick when they are old. I have a mature couple that are eluding me. So I expect to see a bunch of babies soon. stink bugs are easy to grab so are harlequins. Try some soapy water with dawn original soap on the babies. I hear that the parents are susceptible but the babies are more vulnerable. It is worth a try. My hand held vacuum cleaner was worthless for me. True, I got it from Goodwill. The dawn soap spray mixture works almost IMMEDIATELY on coried bugs ( a relative to the stinkbugs) by getting into their breathing apparatus. They take about 15 seconds and then start twitching. The net bags are good for the toms but these bugs also suck the plants and leave a poison that causes decline of the plant if it gets too much.

Hmmm. Interesting. Maybe removed too young, maybe just a personalityquirk (some people are slobs, some are neat freaks). What if you put a smear of butter or something interesting on her hind legs or somewhere she doesn't usually groom. That might tell you if there's some physical limitation. Maybe something would click for her about the need to be licking/grooming down there. Or maybe not! Just thought it might make an interesting experiment. Another thought - when my old girl got too old to bathe herself (she died at age 22) I sometimes gave her a cleaning by massaging and wiping her all over with a warm wet washcloth, then rub with a dry towel. Can use dry pet shampoo prior to the wet washcloth. She LOVED it. Often it would trigger her into do some extensive licking and grooming of herself (those places she could reach). Do it in a warm room (with space heater for her her to sit in front of to dry off, if its cold). Once she got used to it and decided she liked it, I could get the washcloth (and my cat) quite wet, and my cat clean and fluffy. Anyway, it's possible this might help trigger some long-forgotten memory of Mama Cat and get your cat to take on some of the responsibility for keeping herself clean. Who knows! The rough texture of the washcloth is like Mama Cat's tongue!
