Actually Stacy, we bought from 'TheShowerDoorSpecialist' and their price included free shipping. On my 'installation needs to be perfect' comment -- I guess all I'm saying is that there's not really much margin for error in these doors. We have about 1/4" gap on the hinge side, and slightly less on the opening side, and our door is in a tiled opening - so not glass on one side, wall on the other. For a great installation, your vertical surfaces need to be smooth and plumb (which was difficult with our handmade tiles), and the measurement at the top should be the same as your measurement at the bottom and at every point in between. Our door came with installation instructions, which we followed to the letter. If you do that, take your time, and measure 18 times, you'll be fine ;-)

I have an older model for my outdoor shower. for the money it is fine. I have incredible water pressure at my house and even with only half inch pipes leading to it it is a nice massage but if you do not have great water pressure it is not impressive. My parents' well water and 1/2 inch pipes make it's jets and multiple heads used simultaneously useless. Mine is atleast four years old and we did need to replace the rain head last year for the orginal rusted out but to be fair it is keep in the sun and rain for five months out of the year. here is my older model after more than 4years of use It was for a while my favorite shower but last year we added a master shower with hard plumbed jets, hand held and rain head with 3/4 pipes for even better pressure, a thermostatic valve to maintain temp and pressure control and three separate water control handles so we can use one, two or three water sources at a time. We have an instantaneous water heater so we never run out of hot water and try to remember to not use it for to long or too often as to not waste to much water and energy. This shower is my oasis! Water pressure I think is a woman's best friend and the jets are haven to me but this set up was substantially more expensive and not a retro fit like a tower is. I much prefer my hard plumbed set up to my shower tower but honestly it is like comparing a Kia to an Audi in cost and not an apples to apples comparison. the set up I prefer. for better therapeutic results if your budget supports this upgrade I recommend this.

Actually had two shower curtains on my alcove shower. One was a fixed shower curtain that was hung on an exterior rod from wall to wall. It had a valance and two fixed panels, one on either side. Then, I had another shower curtain. This was a plain white cloth curtain that was on the rod. It was on rings that also included a plastic curtain for water protection. So....two rods. An exterior one. That was covering my end walls/tiles. Then, a regular bath rod that held both a fabric outer curtain and a plastic one. We no longer have this system or I would post a photo. But, yes...it can be done!

Lindsey offered this response: "Laminam and Neolith use very different manufacturing processes, so they aren't the same. Neolith is made in a mold so there is a lot of stress in the product. It makes fabrication difficult and can cause product issues on site with improper fabrication. Laminam has no stress as it is not made in a mold. This helps the fabrication process immensely. What I love about a porcelain countertop is that it doesn't require sealing (stone does) and you can put hot pans on it (you can't with quartz). Porcelain is very durable... think about your grandmother's china and how it has lasted for generations versus cheap stoneware from Target or Walmart.
