Bagged dormant daylilies bought mid March, when to plant ?

While shopping at a big box store for my summer caladiums
and dahlias (I start them early indoors) I succumbed to temptation and bought
2 3-packs of bagged daylilies. I have
never bought daylilies this way before! The lush pictures must have touched off
my spring fever, and I lost control. One is a double miniature, and that was
well nigh irresistible.

Now I have the problem of what to do with them. Last frost
date here is not til the end of May. Zone 5. NW of Chicago.

None of my daylilies planted in the garden are showing yet,
and only the wild ditchlilies on the sunny side of my house are coming up –
those are normally ahead of the cultivars.

Should I pot them up and start them indoors, or try to keep
them cool and moist for…2 months?! Thanks for your help!
