Thank you Eric for the info. I hope to stop at the booth to say hello and I am going to ask you about the location in the Gardens of the rainbow eucalyptus because I just got 2 young ones at the house not yet planted.

I've been all through Leu but I don't remember those. It's a tall tropical tree and Orlando gets frosts sometimes, so damage seems likely. Over here I've seen it only in far southern California. Even there it did not look nearly as well suited as those I have seen in Hawaii.

They are there.This is the largest of 3.It is up on the hill by the fence.I asked Eric anout 2 yrs ago.The other 2 are still small.On the open lawn.My other favorite is the sausage tree.

We have 2 Eucalyptus deglupta growing at Leu Gardens. The big rainbow euc is on the hill in the lower Tropical Stream Garden. It was planted in 2001 and is about 70ft tall.

The other we have is on the left after you cross the main bridge. It is about 20ft tall and was planted in 2013.

I have a few of these Eucalyptus trees for sale at the Leu Gardens booth.

There used to be a beautiful Rainbow Eucalyptus by a bank (can't remember which one) in Lake Havasu, AZ. It had a huge trunk and nice coloring for being in the desert. I need to get one to try here.

I'm seeing them planted around Orlando in yards. There is one near where I live in a yard in Altamonte Springs. It is in an open location and in a cold spot but it is growing well.

When Aquatica (Sea World's water park) opened a few years ago they had planted a grouping of about 12-15 trees to make a mini forest for shade. I always wonder how they are growing.

I'll be there for the second year! I go to most of them and I have to say Leu garden's sale is one of the best and the garden is spectacular!

Does anyone know if many of the vendors for this plant show will also be at the USF/Tampa Plant show in April? I so want to go this weekend to Leu's but I don't think it is going to happen.

I am so excited that I am able to attend this! I haven't been to a plant sale in quite a while. I will be in a black sun dress pulling a red wagon and I might have my 12 yr old son with me.

I had a wonderful time at the plant sale, the weather was perfect and the gardens were beautiful. I got 3 different salvias, herbs, white candles/whitfieldia elongata, big pot of nasturtiums that smell heavenly, 3 bromeliads, party time Alternanthea and a varigated vanilla bean orchid...and now I am broke

It was a beautiful day at the Leu! I saw so many great plants that it was hard to pick....:) I got a mix and match of miniatures, big ones too and a pretty birdbath.

Thank you Eric for your great advice on the vine, we really like it and had no idea till you told us.

After the cart was full, we walked through the tropical gardens to find the rainbow eucalyptus, it is huge! lol
