Please help me decorate my bathroom! (Thank you!)
Comments (9)That looks like a room I would have. I'd go with hershey bar chocolate brown and werther's butterscotch gold and maybe some off white. Maybe stripe or figured towels? I didn't see a shower. Maybe a mirror on that long wall? There are lots of oval stenciled ones around. I know. I've been looking at mirrors. I like yours a lot. Tell me about it. Maybe another one with a similar frame hung the long way? It looks like your medicine cabinet is about half way of the long wall? Then build your art work around the mirror? It might add some depth, too. I drag home 3 or 4 times as many things as I think I will use, hold them up and return the ones that don't cut it. I'll be doing that real soon. I want to have my paper up first. Yup. Papering. There's something about paper that speaks to me....See MorePlease help me decorate our small hallway?
Comments (18)I would not put anything opposite the collage you have now because your hallway is too narrow. Some people like to move as far away as possible from such displays to take the pictures in as a group. That wouldn't be possible in your space if you had stuff on the opposite wall--- they might back up to see one wall and knock things off the other one. In general, if you have a hallway width less than four feet wide you don't want to line both walls with anything. If you have a long hallway or one punctuated by doors, you can put a grouping on one side, then hang things on the other side of the hall, not opposite but further down, iykwim. I would use a nice painting or print at the end of the hall, unless there is something you want to reflect from the other end....See MoreHelp me find a proper white for my entrance hall
Comments (19)Benjamin Moore Linen White is a creamy white with yellow undertones. We have used it in our home in the LR, front hall, stairway and upstairs hall. It works well with either White Dove for the trim or Decorator's White. Re: your floors: Maybe consider painting the stair risers white. Your floors are beautiful! Add some area rugs and you'll have some color and protection in the entry area. From the BM site: Also known as Linen White OC-146. A decorator favorite, this light, creamy off-white is a never-fail neutral for walls, trim, doors and ceilings. As clean and comfortable as fresh linen, it relies on a yellow undertone for added warmth .http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/pm28...See MoreHelp with small center hall colonial with no foyer/entryway
Comments (21)Hi Maureen! It is wall mounted. I think it has 4 screws in the back. It does not interfere with our base moldings. I love that the depth is perfect. Ikea has a tall one and a wider one. Just search "hemnes shoe" on ikea and you can see what is available. They hold a ton of our shoes as well as keys, mail etc. I have the wide one in our kids basement are and the tall one in the living room. The backs are mostly open with two support bars that go across that may or not interfere with your moldings. You would have to measure up to see where your molding comes in play. I would be happy to measure the height of the two support bars if you would like. We also used a coat tree in the corner of our living room....See Moremira7
