Non-rose questions, but...

I have one of those metal sheds where the doors are barn style, where the door hangs from nylon things that fit inside a metal track. And one of the doors has completely come off the stupid track, and I can't see how to get it back on! Can anybody tell me, or send me to a site that tells how to rehang those doors?

Not sure if it's the same but I have big sliding doors like that on my closets. To put them back on the track I have to lift them up so the nylon roller wheels on the door are above the lip of the track and then put them against the track and lower then down into the track.

They aren't the same, no. I can DO the hanging closet doors, because I've found the track is 'topless' and gravity based, where the track on the shed is NOT open at the top, it's a "C" shape where the nylon hanger part, what would be the roller in the closet door, isn't round, doesn't roll, and fits in - HOW?! At the far end? Then how did it get OUT?!

I started out years ago with handwritten markers next to the roses and a drawing of the garden bed with the roses marked on it. Then I gradually increased until I needed a looseleaf binder to hold a page for each rose I had planted, and finally I graduated to an Excel spread sheet. I still do the hand drawn map of each bed (there are now over a dozen distinct areas in my garden so that many maps) and I still have markers next to each rose although now I use a labeler to write out the name. I can identify from memory almost every one of my 200 roses. (But now and then I have brain fade and I have to bend down to check the marker, LOL!) The spreadsheet just helps me track where I bought the rose, own root or grafted, what year, fragrance, size, disease resistance and other info I might find useful.

I love white roses....but

I know this lady who works at one of our local garden centers and she told me that people often shy away from white roses. She ask me if I know why as I love growing roses. When I think about it, I rarely buy white roses either. I prefer roses that are lightly coloured and eventually turn to white in the later stages. I guess I only envisioned white flowers in a white and green themed or night garden. White flowers in general would get lost in my garden as it is multi-coloured themed. I also feel that white coloured flowers in the heat doesn't do anything for me. However, I know that white colours do stand out in shady areas or in the evening.

Interesting observation! I do think the winter stress makes them have to catch up to others sometimes. The garden ones can be set back by a frost but then the new bareroots timing may have caused them to miss damage . I will say my roses that come from the local nursery are treated with holly tone I was told and they are always going crazy when I pick mine up. They aren’t in a greenhouse but under shade cloth , which makes me wish that was somehow possible in my garden ! No more sun scorching and it helps protect the blooms from the rains .. anyway a little off the path here .. lol i talked with a man who worked for a major tree and shrub company and he said there are growth retardants they use to keep the sizes down. I thought that was so interesting. You never know what they may come up with !

We have the same type shed. Did the plastic piece break? If not, is the track bent? The plastic cracked on ours and I was able to order new parts - not sure how my husband got them back in but I think he opened up the track on the end enough to pop it in and then bent it closed again. Otherwise you have to disassemble it.

Disassemble what - the track itself? Or the nylon thinger on the door? And thank you! I don't know how old the shed is, it was on the property when we bought it, but I'm pretty sure it came form Home Depot, I've seen the exact same thing there.

Yes if you can't pop it back in you have to take apart a whole bunch of stuff. You can probably find you assembly instructions online, but ours was going to be a ton of work lol. Hopefully you can Macgyver it back in.
