Hot/Cold Beverage Faucet at main sink?

I am buying the Franke Orca sink and was thinking about putting a hot/cold beverage faucet off to the side -- for those occasions when someone wants to "borrow" the faucet while it's already in use for washing dishes. Maybe for rinsing hands, getting a drink, etc.
If you've done this, please share photos of your sink set-up and let me know if you have found it useful to have both faucets, or if it's a hassle. Thanks

I have that setup. I love it. First, I don't have a second sink, so the other faucet comes in handy. And second, the instant hot is great for many things besides just making tea and French press coffee. I can quickly prepare instant broth from concentrate, help clean cooked-on food off my pots and pans, add hot water to a pot that's cooking without bringing down the temperature,must to name a few.

Do you mean like an instant hot dispenser with a filtered cold tap? I guess I don't know what a beverage faucet is!

Thanks, all - I think we'll go with the main sink and maybe I'll get the sink that is sort of shaped to accommodate that extra faucet (Yep, still haven't picked that out yet.) The main reason that we're going with one in the kitchen and one in the wet bar is that after having 20 years of freezers with no ice maker and certainly no water dispenser, I am giving up my lifelong dream of having a dispenser in the door because we're getting an 32" all fridge/all freezer set. I know there is raging debate about the usefulness of ice/water in the door but I loved that cold, cold water. So, I want it in my kitchen AND the wet bar - it's a modified version of my dream. :-) I'd probably put an insta cold in my master bath if I could- hey, hmmmm.... If anyone has their insta hot or hot/cold and would like to post a picture, I'd love it. I'm trying to find a faucet for the hot/cold that doesn't look like bunny ears. Just makes me giggle. :-) Thanks, everyone!

Has anyone ever installed a hot/cold filtration faucet? I know Waterstone and Westbrass make them. We just had a Westbrass put in, and it seems to operate oddly. Under the sink we have a Quick & Hot tank, and a water filter in a white casing. When you turn the hot lever at the sink, you do get very hot water. If, however, you turn on only the cold lever, you get . . . nothing. The plumber then explained that the way the thing worked, you turn on the hot tap if you want hot. If you want cold filtered water, you also turn on the hot tap. And THEN you turn on the cold tap. Sure enough, when you do that, the stream of hot turns to cold. But seriously? Is that how these things are supposed to work? Or do I need to call in a different plumber? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a hot/cold water dispenser to hook up to my body glove filtered water system (can use any faucet). My main kitchen faucet will be Grohe ladylux 3 Cafe in the brushed nickel, and a blanco brushed stainless sink. I'd like the hot/cold water to at least match the brushed finish, though style similarity would be an added plus. Could you please let me know if you have one you like? I would be skittish about having people wash hands with one of those though--one miscalculation or brain fart and it's gonna hurt

My hot/cold dispenser is great. It is filtered water, so we only drink the cold water from that. The hot option is multipurpose- tea, instant oatmeal, pot filling for boiling water (so much faster!) and my favorite, cleaning. I don't know about washing hands- we've never used it for that, but don't know why you couldn't.

Fori, I've not seen one in person, just online. But, yes it's an instant water dispenser that can dispense either hot or cold water ... like this one

Nyc, this is exactly my reason for investigating this option. How did you place them? Might you have a picture of your sink and faucets?

Main faucet in middle. Hot/cold at fat left of sink. My sink is a 30 Julien. Faucets are Waterstone. If you Google nycbluedevil walnut and calacatta my post should pop right up.

I've had the hot/cold dispenser before (now I just have hot) and they are very nice to have. Whether or not you find it useful for hands I can't say. I just would want to be sure I was paying attention before putting my hand under that spout! But it's one of my favorite kitchen thingies.

Mine was/is set up much like John's and as you can see, getting a second person in there will be a little tight, but doable.
