First thing we look at is leaf arrangement - opposite or alternate. That is very important. With the DYCs, darn yellow composites, it is recommended to show the back of the flower, leaf arrangement as well. There are so many species of asteraceae with yellow flowers that it can be overwhelming to identify them. I think your cutting shows opposite leaves.

Lisa your example is gorgeous!! Thank you for the photo :-) I love the droopiness too. And the strawberry growing pot! I might try one too. I lost some leaves repotting. I put them on a saucer of mix, outside in full shade and they were growing in no time. THEN a pigeon turned up looking for a feed and 2 was left for me. Nice of it to share.... Now they are outside in the shade but under the gap at the bottom of the airconditoner. Sucked in bird.

Possibly Alocasia. If so it has rhizomes that can be divided when the plant is large enough.
