A SubZero, if not horribly abused, should last for decades. Since you've already jumped over the money hurdle, that shouldn't be a biggie, and by having the unit for so long, you'll skip the remodelling expenses of replacing it. You've already also agreed to the space involved You've already decided you like the divisions, or you wouldn't have chosen it. I ended up with Miele and a Marvel u/c drawer fridge. I LOVE the drawers, and I love that the bottom section of the Miele is all drawers, so I think you'll really enjoy those. Be thoughtful how you use them. For instance, if you have kids always opening the fridge, you can put snacks and drinks for them in one drawer and have them only opening one section. Con: having to keep the fridge tidy enough to be on display constantly. I'm often embarrassed to have a cousin or friend opening my fridge because I have bunches of kale sitting on the milk, and stuff like that. Pro: You can see what you're looking for before you open the door of the main cooler, keeping the cold in more. Smeary hands on the stainless and glass? That's true no matter what the materials are, so it depends on your tolerance for things looking anything but out of the carton pristine. Pro: If something unexpected comes up and you have to move, you can take it with you because it's freestanding. Con: Stuff can roll underneath because it's freestanding. Really, though, it's a SubZero. What's not to love?

I actually like having a fridge that doesn't impose a particular type of organization on me. We have a commercial refrigerator in the garage. It's essentially just a big rectangular stainless steel box with adjustable shelves. So, in many ways it is very similar to the Pro 48. We love it. We bought a bunch of plastic crates/boxes to add organization, as appropriate for our use cases. Takes getting used to; but once you do, it's hard going back. The one thing we noticed though was that we had to buy one extra shelve, as commercial fridges are optimized for bulkier items. Sounds as if that wouldn't be a problem with the Pro 48. If money isn't a problem, and if there is sufficient space in the kitchen, then I can see the Pro 48 being a great refrigeration option. If space is more critical, then split into two separate towers, or into a tower and some drawers.

I would avoid any Wolf product that has a blue interior. They have had a 10 year problem with the blue enamel chipping. If you ask about it they will say they never heard of it or it is fixed or it just affects a few ovens. The M wall oven was designed to deal with this issue with a removable bottom and there are reports of the M chipping. Wolf does have excellent service for the two or three years you are under warranty but after that they are still very nice but you will pay through the nose because only their people can work on their products. The liner for the wall ovens usually breaks down at a quicker pace than the dual fuel ranges. Some of our posters here have been through at least three ovens. There are are some class action lawsuits over this. Some people with chipping were talked into buying up into a more expensive model only to have it chip. in my case I had a DF range and the liner chipped at 4.5 years, out of the full warranty and they told me the liner wasn't covered at all. They first tried to tell me it was cosmetic but shards of blue glass flying in a convection fan is dangerous and one of our posters got cut on a shard. After haggling back and forth they "gave" me a liner but the labor would start at $800 and go up depending on what they find. The sad thing is even if I would spring for repairs($800+ and I read as high as $2500), they would only guarantee the new liner for a year. Such confidence. I can only use the oven with covered dishes and no convection. It is a good oven and I was a big fan before this happened. We bought because of Wolf's reputation for standing behind their products but have been extremely disappointed. I do like the rangetop. It has a great simmer. The all gas Wolf does not have the blue interior. What type of cooking do you do? What type of cookware do you use? Do you bake or broil? There are so many options for burners and ovens. Have you considered a rangetop and wall ovens. You can pick the best of each. I would look at BlueStar. The burners are completely different than Wolf. Even though I like my Wolf burners, I might consider a BS rangetop. Do you plan on a 30" or? Grill or griddle?

Purchased the 48" Sub Zero with water/ice on the outside door. Had a Jenn Air before this. Sub zero cost around $13,000. It is the loudest refrigerator we have ever owned. Wish we had stuck with the Jenn Air! Will have to live with this forever!! Bad choice!
