Keiki baby orchid care

Hi everyone!

My "common magenta orchid" had a keiki. The baby is around four years old, has bloomed twice, and has some sizable roots. It is currently blooming and the stem from the parent plant that was "feeding it" finally turned brown and the whole thing has naturally detached from the parent. The leaves are looking a bit thin /unhealthy so I wonder if it wasn't getting enough moisture before I noticed that it had detached (the roots were dangling up in mid air). If I pot it (with a proper mix - I haven't repotted an orchid before)... how sensitive is this baby? Unfortunately, the plant picked a terrible time: I am going on a trip & will just have periodic visitor checking in on the house plants.

Thanks!
