Update to my posting above. The Crate and Barrel reps called back and left me a message saying they'd contacted Lee who agreed the loveseat wasn't up to their standards and would give me a "do over," but Lee thought the sofa was w/in their standards. Crate and Barrel offered me 10% off. I thought about it and then called them back and said I didn't think that was satisfactory; it wasn't the money, it was the fact that I'd have to look at the imperfections for as long as I had the sofa. The rep agreed to try again with Lee. I got a phone call back the same day saying she'd talked to the Crate and Barrel regional manager and they'd decided to give me a redo on the sofa too! They didn't want me to be dissatisfied and since the local people agree the sofa doesn't look as good as it should, Crate and Barrel will take it up with Lee again. Obviously, I am extremely happy about this resolution. I should add that it all happened in a most timely way and that the Crate and Barrel people were very responsive. They really seemed to care about my satisfaction as a customer. In this case, I'm very glad to have had Crate and Barrel as a middleman between me and the manufacturer. I'm really impressed with their customer service and I hope Lee comes through with a better product next time.

I was/am (can't make up my mind!) considering a slipcovered loveseat or sofa for our sunroom. A blog friend recently bought one from Ikea and is very happy with it. Of course, she hasn't had it long. Do you have Ikea? We don't. There is also one at JCPenney (Linden St.) that got good reviews (look at their webpage, then furniture and you can read reviews on the pieces), especially after they changed the covering of the down stuffed cushions. The only complaint I remember reading was that sometimes the feather would poke out. They have since changed the covering. We dont' have Crate and Barrel here and I have not looked at the sofas in our Pottery Barn. It is a smaller store, I don't think they have alot of the furniture. Let us know what you decide! I have purchased all types of Arhaus furniture and have found it to be durable. The sofa and ottomans are four years old and still look great. My dog piddled on one sofa seat and the slip cover/underlying pad prevented moisture from seeping through to the cushion. The dry cleaner was able to remove the stain and odor by actually washing the slipcover and it looks just the same as before. I would have been able to replace cushion, slipcover and underlying pad through Arhaus if I had needed to. I can't advise about the quality of the other brands you mentioned but I do recommend Arhaus.

If you want to prioritize sleeping comfort, I would look at American Leather's sleeper or the Lee Sleeper Collection from Lee Industries. Both use a solid platform with a foam mattress - no bars or springs! Lee has better sofa cushion options, so I think offers a more comfortable seat while in sofa form.
