Like may_flowers, we have a 32-1/2" wide by 8' long powder room on our first floor; it is the place that all guests in our house use to "freshen up." The pocket door is midway on one of the long sides. The main purpose of the remodel was to install an advanced "shower" toilet seat, so at one end of the powder room, we installed a Toto Vespin II toilet with an Inax Clessence advanced toilet seat. It has fully lived up to expectations. At the other end, we installed a Cantrio Koncepts PS-004 sink, which was almost exactly the full width of the room, and fitted an Aquabrass "Streem" (their spelling) brushed nickel faucet to it. http://www.aquabrass.com/products/streem-77314-0 We built a tall backsplash behind and alongside the sink with mixed glass and ceramic tile as a do-it-yourself project. The main component was "il Vietri" burnt amber glass mosaic tile, which we purchased from S'Tile, 345 SE Yamhill Street, here in Portland. Our biggest departure from convention was the lighting. We could find absolutely no bathroom lighting fixtures that were not either limited to exotic, expensive, nearly unobtainable, energy-wasting light bulbs, or in the alternative, butt-ugly. So, in the end, we kept our old $1.98 (honestly, I have no idea what we originally paid for it, but it was not a whole lot more than that) "barbell" wall fixture over the medicine cabinet/mirror, and replaced the 40-watt incandescent bulbs with 8-watt subjectively much brighter LED floods. http://www.lowes.com/pd_321124-75774-LPAR20DM/5K/LED_0__?productId=3408204&Ntt=Utilitech+led+flood+light But because the LED floods are quite directional, we papered the walls with Rasch Barbara Becker Collection wallcovering, sold through the Internet Wallpaper Store as product #570631. That wall covering is very highly reflective, but has a textured surface that diffuses the light from the sideways pointed LED bulbs quite effectively, giving a bright but diffuse, complexion-flattering, light in front of the mirror, and enough "bounce" to effectively light the entire room from the bulbs above the mirror. Sorry, I don't know off hand what the grout is. It is my daughters bathroom and I can see if the contractor left some grout at their house when I go there tomorrow to watch my granddaughter and let you know. I do know that the shower valve and tub spout are not off center in the tile so it is just the angle of the picture. The contractor who was also the tile man was an absolute perfectionist and wouldn't allow anything to be "off". He has since done my son's bathroom and I will be using him in the future for my hall bath remodel. I wish everyone could have a contractor like him.

You don't have to know what will go on the upper part of the wall. Prep and prime it and you'll be ready when you decide. I think you can use that medicine cabinet if it is something you love. I'm not sure how to judge your "is it too much" thinking though -- do you really love it? As far as size, make sure you have the height for it with lighting that you like. Include the height of your vanity, the splash, some room above that, the mirror and then see what you have left for lighting and clearance above and below. I would like the wider mirror, but if your ceilings are low, you may need to go shorter. If the mirror fits, what would you think about getting some rub n silver from the craft store and adding some silver highlights to the mirror and lightening it up a bit? If you like that idea, go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's and get some of that rub on silver (yep -- use your finger even), and give it some highlights. That might soften it a bit and tie it in to your lighter room. If you've never done anything like that, find something to practice on -- a picture frame, a flower pot or vase - something that you can play with and see how it works on edges and details. For lighting. look at the fourth row of that Ferguson's lighting link, look at the Feiss Claridge. That could follow the shape of the top of the mirror and it might be nice to bring in another curve rather than a straight line. Personally, I like a three light fixture most of the time. It's that odd number thing, plus, if that is the main source or only source of light in the bathroom, I think it's better to have the ability to have more light and tone it down with a dimmer or smaller bulbs if you need to or want to. As far as the toile, it's hard to say not seeing the space and what you have. It might look great, but you keep your other elements in mind. Glad you kept the grout light. I do think that the floral idea will work better than some other toile patterns because of the round and flowing lines. The ones that are tiny sketches scattered could wind up looking like one more liner element. All I can tell you about the creaminess is that I can't tell you anything from my monitor. You'll have to look at the different elements together. You should be able to order a sample of the wallpaper and you might want to try a few to compare.

thank you..here's the border tiles,,, if I take the top row of tile over the toilet, there's a bit of a gap (1/4 inch) between the backsplash and the tile over toilet so I can't do a perfect border of mosiac tile over the backspash to over the tile.
