how large would you make this patio?
Comments (9)I was actually thinking about that, but that might end up being too much $$$, plus the septic system is over that way, just to the left of the far right window. Plus I think I'd rather have a patio thats further out from the house. Alternatively I was just thinking of getting another pallet of paves and bring out it out further. So instead of being 12 feet long and ten feet wide, it would be more like 16 feet long and ten feet wide. I'd have ~40 sq feet of pavers left over....See MoreIf you could redesign this accent table, what would you do?
Comments (17)So first off, this isn't a table. And then things need to make sense. To me it makes no sense to hang a mirror over a piece of furniture unless it will be used to check your look on the way out. So does this area lead to the back yard only (where you don't need to see what you look like there) or does this lead to a garage that you use to come and go (?) I would in some way update the color of that furniture piece ... whether you stain it an espresso or you paint it a flat black. Then I would hang one large art piece over it. I would remove all of the little items you have all around it and decorate with a few larger pieces that somehow correspond to how that piece and that space will be used. Do you need a lamp in that area ... again do you come home at night through that space from a garage entry? Do you need a tray for keys if this door leads to the garage? No personal framed photos. Why would you be going to that space to pick out a magazine to read? What could you possible put in a small glass jar reaching down that far? You get the idea. Think in those terms....See MoreExtending Patio - Design Dilemma
Comments (17)I would sell your current furniture on Craigslist and buy... http://bit.ly/OutdoorDiningTable and http://bit.ly/OutdoorDiningBenches and http://bit.ly/OutdoorSectional1 and this in a half circle shape for the landing area of the slide https://www.kraiburg-relastec.com/euroflex/en/impact-protection-slabs and for your patio pavers... this... https://homedepot.sjv.io/Q933M in a roundish shape for the full length of the house. Have your contractor build outdoor window sills to mimic these and where there is no window place one of these...http://bit.ly/OutdoorWindowMirror in white and buy 1 or 2 of these umbrellas .... http://bit.ly/OutdoorUmbrellas Add a black gravel border around patio as well as some shrubbery against your fence line. Like these https://homedepot.sjv.io/aoVJY Hope this helps...See MoreHow would you fill this beautiful patio?
Comments (2)Looks like the grilling area will be all the way opposite the door from the house and a long trek from the kitchen. You could add a bar under the kitchen window and use it as a pass through for food to be grilled or put on the table, which I would also put at that end of the deck under the shade of the tree. Group the seating at the end nearest the sliders, turned to take in the view. Ruggable is having a spring sale if you want some washable outdoor rugs....See Moreemmarene9
