I had a similar pod on Calling (Blyth) last season, and simply shoved it in a pot of soil. Very lazy of me I know. I think some hybridisers simply harvest the stalks at this stage and stick them in a vase or bottle. Anyway, mine were fine, and did better than ones i have fussed over. Sometimes i bring in a still slightly green pod that has broken off, and just lay it on my desk shelf besides the computer. I rarely have to throw the seeds away because the pod was too green. I do discard them cheerfully if I don't think the cross is worth growing, and I advise others to do the same. It is certainly fun to get your first seedlings, but really not worth growing seeds just because you have them. My first crosses weren't worth the time i put into them, but were a learning process. After 8 years of growing from seed, I am yet to register and introduce anything, but getting very close. I guess I am pretty fussy.

Most of the good MP3 players like the ipod or Vision M allow you to keep the unit plugged into either a cradle or a/c charger and still be used. Have you considered a docking unit?

I think you did, because I think I responded to it. I'll try to be brief (my constant challenge). Apple devices have two different types of sockets depending on their age. Newer devices have a very small one (called lightning). Older ones are bigger, about one inch long. The player has the plug, the device has the socket. Connecting an Apple device to a compatible dock allows for play of music and charging of the device at the same time. Control buttons on the docking station usually will operate the iphone or ipad. Non-Apple devices don't have these sockets. Some "docks" have USB sockets, which would allow any type of device to connect to play and charge at the same time, using the same cord used to charge the device with a wall wart (that most people would be bringing). Some docks have Bluetooth, which everything and anything will connect to wirelessly. Same story for a radio/speaker system that has an AUX (auxiliary) input, connection is through the headphone socket on the device using a cord with double ended 3.5 mm male plugs. I've stayed in some places that had a 3.5 mm cord connected to AUX audio input on a TV, so that one's audio content could be played over that.
