Backsplash Ideas
Comments (26)I'll try to get a better picture after work. But really, you'd want to go take a look at the tile in person at HD. The overall coloring is white and gray, but there are plenty of other colors in there, as well. Ivory, brown, even some red and blue. About 60% of the marble is split-face, the rest are polished. I'm guessing the max depth variance to be about a 1/16" The overall surface is quite rough, so I would not want it near a stove where it could get spattered with grease. I did manage to splash Au Jus from Italian Beefs all over it without it being sealed. It cleaned right up with a damp kitchen towel. Same thing with some blueberry smoothie. I'm guessing a soft bristled brush would work well for difficult spots and the occasional dusting (as I imagine it will capture a lot of dust)....See MoreBacksplash ideas for indecisive couple!
Comments (28)Thanks! Davidtay are those 4x12? The blue walls are throughout the living area but those were done one manIc January to cover up the dirty yellow. I am liking BM November rain and may paint the adjoining area that color. Very soft grey/green/blue depending On the light. It's painted above window in kitchen. I am awaiting some tile samples and hopefully will have a tile soon. I really like a soft grey with hints of brown. I find the way they sell tile quite annoying. I.e. Must buy box and therefore end up with 9 sq feet more than needed! honorbiltkit-yes there are skylights on the screen porch. Helps for sure with the light. I will post pics when I have more ideas or a final result! Thanks to everyone!!!...See MoreWhite Arabesque backsplash tile reveal....
Comments (7)DrB477......The tile was ordered from Home Depot. $7.99 a sheet Polyblend Pewter Non sanded grout Lazygardens....I didn't charge much for the installation....with the caveat I didn't come back to screw the swicth plates on or caulk the edges. :0) I will see them in the future to go bicycling or out to lunch....but probably NOT taking pics of their kitchen. :0)...See MoreMSI Calacatta Laza color/accessories help!!
