Do you have Cambria chiseled edge counter top? Do you like it?
Comments (19)We did this in a showroom, on an island that we used to set up buffets. Yes, people snagged their fuzzy sweater type clothes on it, and yes, it was difficult to clean. Requires a scrub brush, lots of towels, and a directed spray of clean water to rinse. Thus the towels, to keep the water off of the cabinets. The great chocolate syrup spill during our ice cream sundae gathering was a pain to get it looking right again....See MoreWhy don't I see more white cooktops used on white kitchen counters?
Comments (39)I had a kenmore white smooth top range for 3 years. It was wonderful. So easy to clean. I used all kinds of pans on it including cast iron. Never a single scratch or issue. When I moved out it looked as perfect as the day I moved in. I honestly didn't understand why people hated smooth top stoves. We bought a house that came with a coil stove. I've never hated anything more in my life, so difficult to clean. So I finally upgraded to a smooth top range. I could only find black tops. Even the white ranges have black tops. I can see why everyone hates them now. Used it once. ONCE. Already bubbles that I guess I'm going to have to use a razor to get out. I never dreamed of using a razor on my white one. And I could use a rough sponge. Not this one. Everything I do I'm going to be afraid of ruining it. Ugh. Next time I'm definitely spending a little more money and converting to a gas range. I would think modern technology would have this issue fixed....See MoreWarning against Corian Quartz - Don't do it!
Comments (26)The guys in the lab at DuPont are all saying "We told you so." to the marketing and design departments. The bald people at DuPont are all in the Public Relations department. They've pulled out all their hair. Swami Joe predicts they pull the plug on this; it's unsustainable because of the internet. I'd love to throw some Tenax Quartz Toner on that stuff just to see what happens....See MoreI don't get the waterfall counter trend
Comments (32)pippabean, no one is trying to trash anyone's taste and no one is forcing or not forcing anyone here to do anything. As I've said, this is MY opinion and a result of living a VERY long, but observant life. My husband was a contractor for many celebrities and I was their designer for many, many years on the west coast. I was merely sharing what I know. If I offended you, I apologize. However, I thought this was a place for "discussions" and advice. It's okay to agree, and it's also okay to disagree, but I don't understand why you felt attacked. Have a wonderful week....See Moremayflowers
