Show me your pictures of White Vanities with the tops in black/white marble and in the master shower. Would a solid marble top on vanity and marble tiles in the shower look funny? Same tile on the floor? Too much? None on the walls. Also same tile on Wirlpool.

Bill: I do like that blue! Thanks. Perphaps I will consider it for the subway accent. Today, and each day it changes, I am leaning towards grayish hexies.

A bannister painted a high gloss black enamel (think grand piano!), is stunning and really makes an ordinary bannister (I have one!) look a bit better. My spindles and risers are white - same color as all the trim in the house. The stair treads are the same color stain as all the floors. Dust typically does NOT collect on a bannister as it is "wiped down" multiple times daily when people use it.

Hard no to white on the exterior. White on the interior depends what else you've got going in the rest of the house. In the one interior pic you posted, the wood looks great with the dark windows, to my eye white would cheapen that look. I would just stick with the plan for the black/black -- bite the cost bullet and be patient for what you want, otherwise you might regret it. I'm curious -- why would black limit the warranty?
