What to use to replace on 4 X 4 bath tile..
Comments (3)Years ago I used a lot of Liquid Nails. My issue with it is it would set up too hard and fail, after a few years. Is it still made the same way? A much better adhesive is Power Grab. You can buy a squeeze tube of it in most hardware or big box stores. The stuff is amazing. Put a few good gobs on tile---don't spread it thin....See MoreVanity vs. Pedestal Sink for Half-Bath?
Comments (60)Yes, I wish I had a little alcove space in my half-bath like Bob's to cradle a sink like that. I also wish the arrangement of my room was like all the powder rooms pictured above, walking in FACING the fixtures. Instead, you walk in facing a window, and the sink is to the immediate right, and the toilet is on the same wall to the left of the sink. You lose a lot of the beauty of the fixtures that way. I love looking straight into the room to see the sink right there. As we've seen from all the pics posted here, a sink and faucet are not merely utilitarian fixtures. They can serve as striking sculpture! (Ditto the toilet actually! There are some beautiful ones out there now!). I'll try to make the best of the configuration I have. (If someone will get their caboose over here to help me with my project!)...See MoreBM or SW Paint gurus: Need rec's for small half master bath
Comments (16)Thanks, rorah, and others. I tend to gravitate towards cool vs. warm colors here. Can you try a mock-up of the Stonington Gray since I have two gallons of it? Also, maybe the Powell Buff. Not sure about Kangaroo. ?? I would likely need to stop at BM and see what kind of samples they have of these colors. DH does like the Nantucket Fog, and he said he was skeptical about the gray for a BR. So, in all likelihood, we are going to end up keeping it, so, yes, that means painting the bathroom. At least I don't have to hire painters to do it. I have had some issues with balance and vertigo over the past couple years, so I did not feel comfortable taking on a job where I'd need extended time on a ladder or step stool, but I'd be able to do that small space. I could send DH up on the ladder, but I'm the painter. He is a wonderful man, but he is not handy at all. I've done this entire interior on our house except for this BR. If I did it while he was home on a weekend, that would be OK for safety. I'll probably need to sell the leftover Stonington Gray on Nextdoor. I also have 3 gallons of primer. They are about 2 years old but have never been opened, so I'm sure I can't return them. Comments (40)Hi again -- Lucky you, that's so easy to work around! With your shade of blush, I love the type of muted colors that Terrilyn posted above in her florals example. Obviously test away, but for me B&W and navy work better with brighter pinks. Since you like the idea of deep blue, I'd consider testing a rich indigo, dark slate blue, or, if you want to go brighter, what I think of as "Southwestern sky" along the lines of this: Here are a few more ideas, but they might be too muted for you. Some other deep blues/ purple-blues (and a soft vintage yellow) Pewter and cloud grey Muted red-violet/plum (see bottom right) or milk chocolate...See Morewindsailor97
