Spicrazy, Duh! Wrong dimensions... I gave you the span of cabinets... So we here's the actual dimension is about 72 in (3in filler+33in sink base+ 24in DW + 9in tray divider + 3in filler). I think that the fillers might have been cut down from 3 in but we're in that ballpark. We have the tray divider cabinet (9in) to the left of the DW, so far opening the DW is not a problem... However, the top drawer that's to the left (in the corner in the peninsula) can only be opened 90% of the way. The edge of that drawer hits the handle of the diswasher. This is the only thing that I would recommend you taking a look at. The handle of our Kitchenaid DW is very rounded so it protrudes a few inches off the face of the DW. We were really lucky that we had the 9in tray divider to the left of the DW, otherwise we would have had to get a different DW. I think that if you put the DW directly at the corner, with just a filler next to it, you might have some clearance issue with opening the drawer. Hope this helps!

Most brands offer a range of products at different quality levels at a range of prices, so it's not as simple as "what brand", except for a few very high end makers. Go to a real plumbing supply place and ask them to show you the kinds of products you're looking for. Be prepared for sticker shock. I think solid brass will be a fairly rare product these days, lots of different materials are now used in high quality products. I picked up a second hand KWC kitchen faucet that is stainless steel with a ceramic disk mechanism (no washers or O-rings) that is very nice, weighs about 8 pounds. Online discount price on it was well north of $1000, it came for free as a toss-in with the second hand cabinets we bought.

I posted this on a different thread earlier. This is the Grohe K7 medium. It has a heft to it the lesser costing ones didn't have and it is shorter, only 21 inches which works well for a home kitchen. Single hole in countertop. Super efficient sprayer. Also a more streamlined look than others. For reference the sink is 30x18. Some of my friends think this belongs in a restaurant and we should've been traditional - our house is 180 years old. I love this though! I need better pictures. It does line up with window perfectly but looks off center here.

I have a cheap a$$ American Standard at my prep sink that was recycled from my pre-remodel kitchen (when I replaced a crummy Kohler with anything I could find at the hardware store). It has performed flawlessly for 10 years. The Hans Grohe at my cleanup sink is less good after fewer years on duty. It cost much more, although it's much bigger. Faucets are easy to replace. They are not forever commitments (unless you're me, apparently...). The important thing is to determine what style you like so you get the correct number of holes drilled into your counter. If it goes bad or you want something different, it's not a big deal to get a new one. Of course it even easier to get the right one the first time. :P Also consider spout reach. I would have gotten a matching AS faucet if they had one with the reach I needed. As it is, the match isn't that bad.
