If you have had floors refinished lately, and were pleased with your contractor/team, I would appreciate getting some contact info and/or general advice as to how to survive the project and how long to expect the process to take.

We have a Cape built in the 1960s, and have the original golden/orange oak floors throughout. It's a fairly sizeable project (I think?), and I'd like to get this done this winter/spring. While I have a resource, it's a single guy who works on his own and I'm concerned about how long it will take him and how long we will need to be out of the house.

Scope:

Old part of the house – floors haven’t been done in 17 years

Front Hall – 10x9
TV room – 18 x 12
Hallway – 4 x 16
3 Bedrooms
5 closets

New part of the house. Floors were refinished 4 or so years ago. These should be touched up.

Pantry – 7x10
Kitchen – 17 x 23
Map room – 15x15
