Your first photo shows azalea leaf gall... common fungal disease in the early spring on azaleas. Leaves of infected plants develop distorted growth. If only a few plants are affected and on each plant just a few stems/leaves, pick and destroy (meaning garbage not compost) galls, it rarely does enough damage to require chemical control. If the infection was extensive, a fungicide might be helpful but must be sprayed before the new foliage buds begin to open during or immediately after bloom....in my zone my own are past that now. It looks like some sort of virus that's infected the plant - the only way I know of saving it is to get as much of the plant as you can that's healthy in a chunk and dip all cut surfaces in an anti-fungal rooting hormone.

The wilting aspect it portrays would lead me to believe some sort of root rot going on. We have had an exceptionally wet winter, so perhaps that area is not draining as well as it should. Or that any added amendments are retaining excess soil moisture.

Thank you both for the input, I kind of figured I was overreacting here but I just wanted to be sure with how long these have been growing for. Checked on them today and they seem to be growing fine still, with some of the bulbs getting close to 3" in diameter now. My only other concern is that I have three of these beds, and only two of them are bulbing up. They are all near the same location, have the same soil and get the same amount of water, yet the last bed doesn't appear it has started bulbing at all yet. They are all long day onions, but do certain varieties just take longer to start forming bulbs? Edit: Looking over my notes, I believe the last bed is the intermediate/day-neutral variety "Candy", which I was told would still bulb up in southeast MI. Will these just take longer to bulb or is this bed a bust?
