Medium to dark wood fireplace fireplace surround/built-ins?

I'm in the stages of finalizing our finishes in our new build. Due to having to clear some nice Walnut and Oak timber-sized logs, I'd like to use them in my fireplace surround/built-in design. The stain would be a medium brown color. If you have (or have pictures of) a design like this, I'd love a little photo inspiration! I'm pretty open to the noncombustible surface around the (gas) fireplace face. Here's a picture of the layout, which is in the main family/great room, open to the dining area on the left (top) of the photo. The TV is planned to go to the left of the fireplace, in that built-in. We're also providing for the power/connections above the fireplace, but I really don't want to go that route. I'm picturing low, built-in cabinets, and shelving (or TV) above, to both sides. Thank you for any help you can give!
