Quartz/backsplash tile selections for different rooms, HELP?

I need advice/help with quartz and backsplash. Our house is a contemporary open concept living dining, two master bedrooms with full baths. Butlers pantry/coffee bar/utility/mud room/half bath/docking station as you enter the from the garage. The same tile flooring throughout entire house is charcoal gray patterned silk stone 12x24 format. Kitchen cabinetry is BM White Dove, all others MB 1465 Nimbus. I have chosen Silestone Marengo (dark gray) and Kensho (lighter gray). The large garage entry combo rooms.….not separated by a doorway only a short 3' hall sharing the 37' wall of windows with the kit/den. Can I use the dark stone in the kitchen, and the lighter in the combo room? The combo room has a coffee bar with sink, half bath has a floating wall sink with out cabinetry. Do I need to use the same backslash tile (considering Ann Sacks Savoy Cottonwood) in the 1/2 bath and coffee bar? Tile for the two remaining bathrooms have been chosen and go with either color of quartz.

Our house is in the sheetrock stage. All windows covered with painted plastic due to priming. Hard to distinguish room placement and flow pattern without light. Rain is not helping with little light for photo opportunities. Will try today if the sun returns. Tile flooring expected next week, cabinets the 3rd wk of January, and quartz sub-contractor needs to order countertops. This is my second time on a forum. Last week I posted my first here on Houzz. I was extremely surprised with the wonderful responses. Posting photos might be my New Years 1st. challenge……will try today.

I think white would be a nice contrast. I've attached a link to a GW member's (kellienoelle) kitchen that used Delicatus granite & a classic white backsplash. didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )

Dee, first of all don't commit to any backsplash until your counters are in if that's possible. Second, find inspiration images of other kitchens you like that have used your materials. My guess is that you may reconsider the need for an accent tile once you look at those images.

Thanks, calidesign. Cabinets have not been painted yet. Was thinking of BM White Dove which is a soft white. I was hesitating with white tile because it maybe difficult to match the whites. Gray white or a yellow white. I have read that the BM White Dove is more a gray white. So was thinking the sand tile above would be simple and classic and no worries of a clash with the cabinet shade of white. I like your suggestion of an expresso island. The appliances are a metallic gray (although it's called black stainless steel- they are not black). This color matches the gray/charcoal in the granite. That's why was considering the very light gray tile in the first picture and a charcoal island (as an option to expresso island and sand tile). However from far the granite looks cream/taupe. So you are right that gray may not work.
