Comments (9)Its only my second time there in 20-some years. My wife's family used to go there every summer for the month of August, and shortly after we started dating her family had a large reunion trip to the island. It happened to be the first time I met any of her family, and there sure were a lot of them. That trip (which was in August, years ago) the weather was mostly good, this trip the weather was cold, windy and rainy. So by my scientific sampling the weather is rotten about 50% of the time. Comments (13)Stacy, I have more time now, and thus, here it is: I started by browning the brats, added chopped garlic, and carrot slices, then the chopped up cabbage simmered all for a bit, then added chicken stock. That's the stock I had at hand. simmered till the whole house smelled yummy... ;) I had one package of sausage, I think it was 6 a BUNCH of garlic, almost a whole garlic I think it was 4 large carrots and there were two heads of cabbage, and finally 1 container of chicken stock Hope this helps. Crowds of onlookers gathered to take pictures and shoot videos of Gadsden's Noccalula Falls this morning, swelled by heavy rains and shooting steam into the air.
