Will tomatoes continue to ripen if brought inside?

I have a couple of very nice looking Viva Italia paste tomato plants (planted in Sept), in wicking pots, and with about 15 2" green fruit. The weather is getting too cold for tomatoes now (low 30's at night) so I brought them inside. They're next to a window so they get a few hours of direct sunlight, and some more filtered sunlight. The room is cold at night (low 50's) and a bit warmer during the day (60-70F).

Will these fruit continue to ripen properly inside, or should I be taking them outside whenever the weather looks like a warm spell. I'm not even sure that they would ripen completely during the winter, even with 70-80F days (this is S. Calif.) because of the cold nights. So what's more important for ripening, direct sunlight or warmer nights?
