Need help with vanity color in master bath

We are redoing our master bath. It's 12X9. We have decided on carrera marble tiles for the floor (18" or 20" - whatever our contractor gets), subway tile for the shower walls (6X12 and then 3X6 more than halfway up - something like that) with either herringbone or basket weave on the shower floor. We are tiling the walls up to our windows which is about 33" with the 6X12 subway tile. The tub is Victoria + Albert Amalfi. So you get a pretty good idea of the look of the room. The adjoining master bedroom is traditional with hardwood floors, mahogany sleigh bed, a black highboy, a mahogany dresser and a few other tables that have dark wood tops and black bases. The colors in the room are greens, golds, browns. My dilemma is selecting the vanity (72") color in the master bath along with a linen closet that will be 36"X84". I have searched through this website for weeks. The bathrooms are gorgeous. I have gotten so many wonderful ideas. Since I am firm on the carrera marble (might be calacatta gold - but essentially you get the idea), I need help in deciding the best color for the vanity. Most of the pictures show white or some variation which is gorgeous. But I just don't think it will be the best transition from my master bedroom. I have seen black, and I'm concerned it could look a little contemporary or too stark. And I have seen a few dark woods. What really looks the best? Any ideas? Am I wrong about the transition from the bedroom? Thanks. Pat
