Can I divide daylilies today and still have blooms this year?
Comments (8)It depends on how you are dividing. Are you dividing them down to 2 fans or 4 fans or what size? I've purchased in the spring which were just bareroot double fans and had them bloom the same year but not to their full potential. I will be dividing some plants this spring and I'm not concerned about how many blooms I get from them this year. I figure it is best to get it done before something else comes up in the fall and I can't get it done again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Julia...See MoreBlooms for saturday
Comments (11)I'm kind of partial to Choral Fantasy's color. Beautiful Edgings is a nice one too,and I'm glad I have it. Thanks for posting Wonder Of It All. I just got it last year and a scape came up, but then died. I couldn't remember what it looked like (guess I could have googled it), but then another scape started coming up. It should be blooming in a few days. Vickie...See MoreStill some bloom
Comments (7)Marcia, mine does not get a chance to spread. It is in the middle of the garden and DH loves to till. Sometimes I wish it would spread a bit. I think I might dig some of it up and plant it out in the field away from the reaches of the tiller. When I was growing up there was a big patch on the side of the road. I just loved it. Honalee, I usually collect some seeds. Let me know if you want some. Marg...See MoreStill blooming here
Comments (10)I love the color of the first dl pic. It is an eye catcher for sure. I also like the second one. So nice to see others post their dls still blooming. The only thing blooming here is my perennials and cannas but the colder temps are definitely slowing down the plants. I'm not sure if the new scape of Siloam Little Girl will open. No rain and none expected for the rest of the week. BTW, for the registered ones, are these reblooms or do they bloom late in the season for you? I do like Rainbow Forest. Nice flower.
