Anyone grow Schlumbergera, aka Christmas cactus, as epiphytes?

Title pretty much captures entirety of question-I'm wondering if any of you Florida gardeners have tried to work with this genus but up in trees or on rocks, a al their natural habit in their Brazil homeland? Seems it could be a rewarding project.

Me, I've got an heirloom that is in fill bloom right now. Easy as pie, this plant is actually from a cutting of a cutting of a cutting....maybe I missed a generation or two there...of a plant my wife's grandmother used to have in her breezeway. But not trying to grow it up in a tree here in Wisconsin!
