I know I'm a little late to this party, but I can't help myself: When my brother and I were 2 and 3, we tipped over the gallon can of olive oil in the pantry and amused ourselves until half the can had poured out through the tiny holes our dad had poked in the corners with an icepick...(remember those days?) Olive oil everywhere, slippery as could be. What fun! The oil seeped through the wooden floor boards through to the ceiling of the apartment below. As long as we lived there (another ten years or so) every time the floor got wet it smelled of old olive oil. The oiled parts of the wood got darker and darker, and no matter how much paint the landlord applied to the ceiling below, the stain remained. We are 60 and 61 now, Mom is 85. She reminds us of that day every time she thinks of olive oil, and how she didn't know what to do first - laugh, cry, curse herself for her momentary lapse, or clean up the floor or the kids. I bet the place still stinks.

Your Oxi product pictured is a powder, yes? As stated in responses above several years ago, the instruction is based on an assumption of liquid detergent and powder oxi ... which combined can form a chunky/goopy mixture that won't properly dissolve and flush out of the dispenser drawer or cup. Don't combine any liquids and powders together in a dispenser cup/reservoir that holds the dosage for the dispenser to be flushed with water. A frontloader detergent dispenser (and some toploaders with a drawer dispenser) typically has a reservoir cup or a dam piece that holds liquids from running out prematurely, until the incoming water flow overflows the compartment and flushes out the product, then (usually) a siphon tube drains the residual water. The cup or dam is removed for powders since they won't run out the back, the powder sits in the compartment until the water flow flushes it out (overflowing the cup or hold-back dam). A heavier goopy combination of liquid+powder sitting in the cup or blocked by the dam doesn't flush and/or dissolve readily. If you're using liquid detergent and powder oxi (or powder detergent and liquid oxi), then do not mix them together in your frontloader's dispenser. Liquid detergent and liquid oxi, or powder detergent and powder oxi (with the reservoir cup or hold-back dam removed) can be mixed together. If you're not sure, then follow the oxi directions and place liquid or powder detergent alone into the dispenser, and liquid or powder oxi directly into the drum.

I asked how it was vented because that can effect drying time plus best way to clean. And if you have a bird guard over the vent outside, it can clog and you can remove it and clean it. Also add one or two old dry towels to your wet load. Helps them to dry faster. A blower( leaf) is the best way to clean out the vent pipe.

To remove dust after building / construction - Vacuum the floors first using a brush attachment (so you don't scratch the floors) to remove larger bits of debris. Use a flat mop along with a PH Neutral detergent to remove the dust, make sure all excess water has been squeezed out (very important as you don't want moisture getting into the wood ruining your floors). Make sure you keep rinsing the pad, you may need to go over the floors a couple times before all the dust if gone. Make sure you don't drag the mop bucket along the floor to avoid scratches! You will need to research different cleaning products for general cleaning after the dust has been removed (flooring manufacturer would be a good place to start). This is because the correct product will be dependent on the finish. Polyurethane, oil, lacquered etc will all require different products.
