Import trying to sound Americanized and proper. Much cheaper garbage can be found if you want to go that route. Bamboo is mostly glue and cellulose, no refinishing that ever. It doesn't like moisture either. Disaster in a gluedown over slab.

Thanks Ken and Sophie. I love the Lauzon Hickory but want to also save a few bucks since this house is of course costing a bundle. :) If I can find something else in this color I like that also has a 3mm layer (the Nuvelle and the Lauzon do) then I will probably go with that instead.

Yes I did. However while I'm a huge fan of your flooring, I think it's going to be out of my budget. If I was doing one room, I wouldn't think twice about using Lauzon but we're talking about 2300 square feet of flooring.

Yes from Lauzon, their Homestead collection, color: prairie wheat. Also I don't like pillowed edges or the fake hand scraped look.

Bringing this back up to ask if you know of anything that would be close to the Lauzon prairie wheat color with only a micro bevel (or even no bevel!) Has to be engineered.

Geez, Can't think of one in your price range off the top of my head. If you look hard enough you're bound to find something as there's just a flood of stuff out there. . Ya know I'm surprised that Lauzon product is actually imported...but from where?

Interesting thought, but I don't think that's the case as their mainstay products have no mention of it.

Ok so now I found Mohawk Warranton Hickory Suede. The color and look is the closest to the Lauzon I love. Thoughts?

You could go on and on. I tell folks buy what you like, trust your
own instincts. I don't know if I've shown this video anywhere. It does

My experience with Nuvelle interlock hardwood flooring is NOTHING but dissappointing. Installed the floor 2 years ago as a floating floor and it has moved away from the walls leaving about on inch gap from two of the edges and wherever there were knots in the plank the wood has split... the interlocking mechanism is failing in many areas . The inspector said it was installation error but where they say was installation error we are not having problems! It’s the incredible shrinking floor going on 2 years now and still shrinking... $6000 Down the drain. Bought from Home Depot by

sun crest supply and all have used the inaccurate floor inspector report which was written a month after he inspected the floor and called to ask me questions because he couldn’t remember the inspection ! I have copies of many customers who bought the same type of floor and are having the same issues I am but Home Depot and Suncrest supply took our money and ran... no resolution for us ... saving for a new floor in the future. Be wary of the interlocking floating floor! The design is not working in our house in Colorado!
