My best friend in New York City still hasn't made it to a hardware store to buy stuff for me and ship them out. She has never been in a hardware store ever. Darn, one of my frat brothers from New York just visited last week and I didn't think to have him smuggle them in his suitcase to me. On the other hand, the guys will probably think I'm even weirder than I was in college. My DH just told me to not even think about as I may trigger Homeland Security on a friend because they are carrying mineral spirits or Penetrol in their suitcase to me for my renovations.

are you wanting the look of painted doors (where the front is obviously painted) or are you just wanting the color? we just ordered our cabinets which are plywood construction and have laminated surfaces. I’ve seen several painted doors and ordered many samples and honestly the most durable and smoothest surface was the laminated. Painted samples I ordered were always chipped. The laminated doors appear to be seemingly indestructible, so if You want durability then that is the best way to go, in my opinion (And the laminate of today is much better quality than 20 years ago). that being said, I’m not sure how many options are out there for laminate colors. Custom shops seem to have endless options for colors for paint, but laminate I think is harder to have a wider selection. If you want white, gray, or black, you would be able to find it in a laminate. If you live in the greater Seattle are I’d be happy to show you the samples I’ve ordered. good luck!

The cabinets look fine, just the way they are. Spend your money removing the popcorn ceiling, that doesnt even look clean, and removing all that wallpaper and then repaint the kitchen, a nice color that goes with everything in the room.

What brands of cabinets are you looking at? Or will you have local cabinet shop make them? You want a higher quality finish 2k poly
